In the Guinean film “Quiet, Quiet Don’t Cry” directed by Lucía Venero, a long-time author of documentaries and feature films awarded worldwide, we follow Duturina, whose life changes with the birth of her daughter Aminata. Instead of the motherhood she hoped for, she is forced to run away – young, alone and without resources, faced with uncertainty and fear. However, one thing is clear: she must save her child’s life.

“Vibrations from Gaza” provides a rare and poignant perspective – the life of deaf children in besieged and devastated Gaza. Their world is shaped by the vibrations of bombs, the shaking of the ground and the echoes of rubble. Through their stories, the film raises the question: is their deafness a natural condition or a consequence of sonic weapons and repeated attacks?
Director Rehab Nazzal’s documentary “Vibrations from Gaza” combines art and testimony, giving a voice to those who are too often silent, but who feel every explosion very much.
